Origin Story
Salt City Circus was founded in 2021 by movement artists Rachel Belling and Kate Law Hoflich who share a passion for movement and coaching. An idea sparked from a hot tub conversation about burnout, change, growth, community, and a love for the outdoors quickly turned into an all out retreat adventure.
Just months after their conversation these two set out to build a space for circus artists to come together as a community and support one another’s creative growth. An experience where both artist and human are nourished in a space surrounded by trees, thistles, and mountain air. A safe and inclusive place to unplug from hustle culture and tune into something deeper. Salt City Circus retreats are now this space and so much more.
