Where is the retreat & how do I get there?
The cabin is located outside of Scofield, UT in the Manti-La Sal National Forest. The exact cabin location is kept confidential to make it more secure. We share the exact location with our registrants and coaches. You will receive this information in your welcome packet after you have registered.
Shuttles will pick up at the Salt Lake City International Airport and surrounding hotels in the morning the first day of the retreat. The shuttles will then carrivan to the cabin. Please reach out if you are wishing to drive yourself as the roads require comfort with rugged roads and a vehicle that has clearance and maneuverability to handle possible rough terrain.
What does the training space look like?
The Circus Barn has eight aerial points: 5 in the downstairs bay ranging from 18-25 ft and 3 in the loft ranging from 12-18 ft. There is a designated stretching and warm up area with a large carpet square, mats, and all of the tools you could hope for. Across the floor and creative movement span the length of the bay floor on a long vinyl strip. There is an additional outdoor aerial rig that can be utilized during private lessons and open jam times.
What do accommodations look like?
The spacious three story log cabin invites community with four large shared bedrooms: two bedrooms in the upstairs loft and two basement bunk rooms (3-5 beds each with some bunks), two full bathrooms, two communal gathering areas, and a large porch to admire the stunning views. All rooms are shared with a pricing option for either a twin or full/queen bed.
Sleeping arrangement preference is first come first serve based on the order registration is received.
Is the retreat really off the grid?
The cabin & circus barn sit in a serene area of the Manti-La Sal mountains of Utah on over 40 acres adjacent to both national and state forest land. We rely on a combination of generator and solar power and are supplied by fresh well water. This remote area is a digital detox with no cell phone reception or internet at the cabin itself.
We do have limited service available by taking a short drive to the mountain top nicknamed “The Phone Booth". The phone booth also offers incredible views if you are set on not looking at your phone the entire time. We usually make several trips during the retreat for this purpose (weather permitting).
